Horse Training:Many of our clients have younger horses coming along, or are unable to ride consistently during the week. We have found that a regular training program for your horse greatly enhances your ability to improve as a rider. Each program is tailored to you and your horse's combined needs and goals Riding Lessons:There is nothing more satisfying than learning how to ride a horse well. Learning the proper techniques of horse riding will only increase your enjoyment of the sport. We teach Beginners through Advanced Levels. Our goal is a complete learning experience including grooming, tacking up, basic horse care, and riding with a focus on riders having a fun and safe experience If you are a boarder, four training lessons per month can be included in your boarding rate. Please see our Boarding page for more details. However, even if you don't have a horse, we have a variety of Lesson Horses available.
Lesson Rates:Semi-Private/Small Groups:Per horse/rider: $30 per hour Private:$40 per lesson* *If you are using one of our Lesson Horses, please add $5.00 to the rate, per rider. Time & Attire:Please be properly dressed in proper headgear, britches, boots, closer fitting tops, gloves, and bat or whip. Chaps, half chaps, paddock boots are acceptable for those not in competition schedule. Half hour lessons require you to be on your horse warming up anywhere from 15 minutes to a full half hour before your scheduled time. Be sure you keep this in mind when signing up for lesson times. If training on the Cross Country course we recommend a safety vest. Cancellation Policy:Stonewood Farms has a 24 hour cancellation policy. It is your responsibility to call at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make a scheduled lesson and your responsibility to arrange a make up lesson by the end of the month. Full payment of lessons will be charged if notification is not made within 24 hours. Exception: If the instructor is sick, or your horse is unavailable and we can't provide you with a mount.
